Mrs. Amani Hamed

Mrs. Hamed is the Chairman of OKAZ Stockbrokers and OKAZ Portfolio Management. She has been an active contributor to the development of the Egyptian Capital Market, in her role as founder and board member of the Egyptian Capital Market Association for 6 consecutive years, and as head of its Stock Exchange Committee.  She also sat on the board of the Egyptian Stock- Exchange for three years. Furthermore, she co-chaired the Investment and Capital Markets Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce for two years.

Mrs. Hamed holds a Bachelor’s degree (with high honors) and a Masters Degree in Economics from The American University in Cairo.

Mr. Hamed Mohamed‎ Hamed

Mr. Hamed enjoys extensive experience of over 25 years in the brokerage industry. He has a strong track record in the field of brokerage operations.

Prior to being the Managing Director of OKAZ  Mr. Hamed held the position of General Manager where he oversaw the Dealing, Back Office, Accounting and Compliance departments.

 Thanks to his efforts OKAZ has been able to hold strong in the face of many operational hazards typical of brokerage operations in emerging stock markets, which usually lack efficient surveillance systems.

Mr. Hamed started his career as Internal Auditor in the office of Hazem Hassan KPMG,

He holds A Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Cairo University 1987, and is a graduate of the German DEO School.

Mr. Hamed also obtained several professional certificates in the felid of Investment and Brokerage operations in Egypt and overseas.  

Mr. Mohamed Laban ‎

Mr. Laban brings in over 35 years of experience in the Financial & Administrative fields.  He joined OKAZ team since 2018 as CFO. He has over 20 years of experience in the Banking & Asset Management Sector. Mr.Laban  started his career at Cairo Barclays Bank then moved on  to Barclays bank London  at L/C,s - L/G,s - foreign exchange and finally at Arab International Bank as head of documentary credits and authorized signatory of the bank. Mr.Laban served as Financial & Administrative Manager of many Asset Management Companies. Mr.Laban holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from faculty of Commerce Cairo University 1984.

Mrs. Samar Soliman ‎

Mrs. Soliman is currently heading the Local Institutions Desk at OKAZ Stockbrokers & Investment Consultants since 2006.

She is heading a team of corporate account managers and is responsible for serving Institutional clients, as well as expanding the customer base by attracting a greater number of new financial institutions.

Mrs. Soliman has extensive experience in the field of securities brokerage

She began her career with Prime Securities in 1996 as a licensed floor broker.

She became one of the main Traders, dealing with foreign and domestic institutions' orders. After that, she joined Strategic Group for Securities in 1999 as Deputy Director of Trade Execution, followed by Head Of Execution Department, and later on as Institutional Sales Executive in 2001. She then joined Blom Securities as Director of Local and Arab Institutions in 2005.

Mrs. Soliman holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce and financial transactions from Cairo University 1995. She also obtained many professional certificates in brokerage operations and technical analysis.

Mr. Ibrahim Khalil

Mr. Ibrahim Khalil is currently heading the High Net Worth clients’ desk since 2006.

 He joined OKAZ Stockbrokers & Investment Consultants in 1995 in the Clearing and Settlement Department of the company, and then moved to the Customer Service Department of the company at the end of October of the same year. Later he moved on to   the Execution Department to work as a floor broker in the Stock exchange in January 1996. In 2000 he then moved on to be an account officer and floor broker.

Mr. Khalil obtained a Bachelor of Law degree from Cairo University in 1993. He also obtained many professional certificates in brokerage operations & execution.

Mr. Ahmed Helal ‎

Mr. Ahmed Helal is the Head of Research at OKAZ. He joined OKAZ in October 2018. Ahmed Helal has over 19 years of experience in the field of financial services (Equity research and trading). Before joining OKAZ, Ahmed Helal was a senior investment analyst at Blom Egypt Securities for over 3 years. Before that, he was a senior relationship manager at CI-Capital, he was responsible for recommending trading strategies for both local institutions and high net worth retail. Prior to that, Mr. Ahmed was senior investment analyst at CI-Capital. Mr. Helal holds a Bachelor's Degree in accounting from Ain Shams University in 2001 and he is certified credit analyst from the Commercial International Bank after passing the Chase & CIB Credit Course (CC16) from the Commercial Intl. Bank (CIB) in 2005.

Mr. Tamer Shaban ‎

Mr. Shaban is currently heading the Operations Department at OKAZ Stockbrokers.

He is supervising the back office operations of order routing, settlement and corporate actions and is also in charge of the company database .

Mr. Tamer enjoys extensive experience in brokerage operations.

He started his career with OKAZ in 1998 as an accountant handling banks and clients accounts and later moved on to the position of Internal Auditor from 2005 till 2010 .

Mr. Shaban holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Cairo University 2000.  He has also obtained several professional certificates in brokerage operations.

Eng. Omar El Kheshen ‎

Omar ElKheshen is the founder & MD of Bareeq Capital, a developer and investor in infrastructure projects with a social impact. He serves on the board of a number of pioneering companies in healthcare, education, renewable energy, security and financial services across EMEA. Prior to that, Mr. ElKheshen was in management consulting working for Kearney in Chicago. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and MSc in Financial Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Mrs. Randa Hamed

Randa Hamed has over twenty years of experience in the field of investment. She has wide experience in portfolio management, developing, implementing investment policies, and structuring tailored made portfolios for HNW and institutions. She uses top-down approach while seizing trading opportunities through her technical analysis skills.

She is Board Member of OKAZ Stockbrokers & Investment Consultants, Quikro for Financial Services London, Kashat Nano Financing Company, and Vice Chairperson of the Egyptian Society of Technical Analysts (ESTA).

Prior to establishing OKAZ Portfolio Management she was Head of Institutional Sales and General Manager of OKAZ Stockbrokers & Investment Consultants. Through her sound knowledge of fundamental and technical analysis and her managerial skills she manged to train her team and help them grow and retain the brokerage escalating client base.     

Ms Hamed is a graduate of the German School in Cairo (DEO) holds an MBA from Heriot Watt University Edinburgh Business School and a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC). She is a Certified Portfolio Manager holds the (CPM) Certificate from the Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA), a Certified Egyptian Technical Analyst (CETA) Certificate from the Egyptian Society for Technical Analysts (ESTA) and Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) from International Federation of Technical Analysts ( IFTA).

In addition, Ms Hamed has undertaken extensive training in equity valuation and Portfolio management techniques in the US and UK as well as in Egypt.

Mrs. Nevine Taher

Nevine Taher has over thirty years of experience in the field of investment. She has wide experience in portfolio management, developing and implementing investment policies and efficient management of portfolios.

She is currently Board Member of Acculab Diagnostics, Board Member of Check Me Health and Chief Investment Officer of T3G Group. Prior to this she was the Managing Director of Concord Portfolio Management where she has spent 15 years. She was the Investment Manager in Export Development Bank of Egypt. She has ten years of experience in the field of brokerage where she was the Acting General Manager, Sales Director and a Branch Manager at Okaz Stockbrokers and Investment Consultants.

 Ms. Taher holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo (AUC), a Professional Certificate in Banking Credit Management, Institute of Banking and Finance from (AUC), a Certified Portfolio Management (CPM) Certificate from the Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA), a Certified Egyptian Technical Analyst (CETA) Certificate from the Egyptian Society for Technical Analysts (ESTA) and Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) Certificate by International Federation of Technical  Analysis.

Mrs. Sahar Heshmat

Sahar Heshmat last headed the Treasury and Risk Management department at Telecom Egypt and has a total of 30 years’ progressive experience in finance and operations management in multi-billion EGP organizations. In her role as Senior Director of Treasury and Risk Management, Heshmat was the driving force behind Telecom Egypt’s award of the ‘best structured finance deal in North Africa’ in the EMEA Finance magazine’s 11th refinancing, repricing and restructuring 2018 awards.

Prior to joining Telecom Egypt, she had accumulated 16 years of banking experience at the Egyptian American Bank (EAB) and Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGB) ending her banking career as a Corporate Finance Team Leader at the Arab Banking Corporation (ABC), where she doubled her team’s contribution to the bank’s corporate portfolio and profitability.

Heshmat graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1988 from The American University in Cairo AUC, having finished her schooling from the German School in Cairo, the “Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule - DEO”.
