Engineering Export Council Launches HATS Mission with Participation from 29 Countries Targeting African and Gulf Markets

The Engineering Export Council of Egypt announced the launch of the largest event for the home appliances, tableware, and kitchenware sector as part of the international buyers’ mission (HATS 2025), scheduled to take place from November 16 to 18. The event will host trade delegations from 29 European, African, and Arab countries, alongside a distinguished group of Egyptian companies, manufacturers, and exporters in this vital sector.

This initiative aligns with the Council’s strategy to support and increase Egyptian exports and strengthen the presence of Egyptian products in international markets. It will feature direct B2B meetings between Egyptian companies and international buyers, as well as field visits to Egyptian factories to showcase their production capabilities and the level of industrial and technological advancement achieved by the national industry.

Engineer Sherif El-Sayyad, Chairman of the Engineering Export Council, stated that HATS 2025 serves as a key platform to promote Egyptian engineering industries—especially in the home appliances and kitchenware sectors. He emphasized that the event contributes to opening new markets and enhancing trade relations between Egypt and countries around the world.

El-Sayyad added that the new edition of HATS builds on the success of previous rounds, which positively impacted the sector’s exports. He noted the broad participation of international buyers and the signing of actual export deals with Egyptian companies in most previous editions since the event’s inception in 2019.

He highlighted the Council’s focus on attracting importers from promising markets in Africa, the Gulf, and Eastern Europe to boost access to these regions.

The Council aims to showcase the quality and technological advancement of Egyptian products, affirming that Egypt’s engineering industries possess significant manufacturing capabilities that enable them to compete strongly in global markets. This supports the national plan to increase exports to $145 billion annually.

Mai Helmy, Executive Director of the Council, affirmed that the HATS international buyers’ mission is one of the most important tools for promoting Egyptian exports. It provides an effective platform to connect Egyptian manufacturers with international importers and distributors, and fosters industrial and trade cooperation between Egypt and its global partners.
