Amani Hamed

Chairman

Amani Hamed is Chairperson of OKAZ Stockbrokers and OKAZ Asset Management, and a leading contributor to the development of Egypt’s capital markets with over 30 years in the field. Her career reflects sustained engagement in market governance, institutional reform, and industry representation across both public and private sectors.

A defining pillar of her professional journey is her long-standing commitment to market development. She served for six consecutive years as Founder and Board Member of the Egyptian Capital Market Association, where she also chaired the Stock Exchange Committee, contributing directly to policy dialogue and industry coordination.

Mrs. Hamed has further served as a Board Member of the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) for three years and as Co-Chair of the Investment and Capital Markets Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, strengthening collaboration between market participants and international investors.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree with High Honors and a master’s degree in economics from the American University in Cairo.

Randa Hamed

Managing Director & Board Member

Randa Hamed is Managing Director and Board Member of OKAZ Asset Management and a former Board Member of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), with over 25 years of leadership in capital markets. She has a proven track record in building long-term investment strategies and managing tailored portfolios for high-net-worth and institutional clients across multiple market cycles.

A defining pillar of her career is client trust, with long-standing relationships maintained since the firm’s establishment in 2007. Her experience spans periods of market volatility, reform, and structural transformation, shaping a disciplined, risk-aware, and pragmatic investment approach.

Ms. Hamed has held senior roles across both market practice and institutional frameworks, including leadership positions at OKAZ Stockbrokers and OKAZ Asset Management. She also serves as a Board Member of the Egyptian Capital Market Federation (ECMF), where she heads the Training Committee, and as Vice Chairperson of the Egyptian Society of Technical Analysts (ESTA).

She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the American University in Cairo, an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Methods. She is a Certified Financial Technical Analyst (CFTe) and a Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM) and remains actively engaged in advancing financial literacy and market professionalism through industry forums and media.

Hamed Mohamed

Board Member

Hamed Mohamed is a senior capital-markets executive with over 30 years of experience in brokerage operations and executive management. His career is characterized by a strong focus on operational integrity, risk management, and institutional stability within emerging market environments.

A defining pillar of his leadership has been the establishment and oversight of robust operational frameworks. Prior to his role as Managing Director of OKAZStockbrokers & Investment Consultants, Mr. Mohamed served as General Manager, overseeing Dealing, Back Office, Accounting, and Compliance functions, and ensuring resilience against operational and regulatory risks.

Earlier in his career, he worked as an Internal Auditor at Hazem Hassan – KPMG, building a solid foundation in governance, audit, and financial controls. His experience has been instrumental in maintaining operational stability during periods of market stress and limited surveillance infrastructure.

Mr. Mohamed holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Cairo University (1987), is a graduate of the German DEO School, and has completed several professional certifications in investment and brokerage operations in Egypt and abroad.

Sahar Heshmat

Board Member

Sahar Heshmat is a senior finance executive with over 30 years of experience in treasury, risk management, and financial operations within large, complex organizations. Her career reflects deep expertise in balance-sheet management, structured finance, and enterprise-wide risk oversight.

A defining pillar of her professional contribution was her leadership of the Treasury and Risk Management function at Telecom Egypt, where she played a central role in delivering the company’s award-winning structured finance transaction, recognized as the “Best Structured Finance Deal in North Africa” by EMEA Finance Magazine in 2018.

Prior to Telecom Egypt, Ms. Heshmat accumulated 16 years of banking experience across Egyptian American Bank (EAB), Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGB), and Arab Banking Corporation (ABC), where she concluded her banking career as Corporate Finance Team Leader, significantly expanding her team’s contribution to portfolio growth and profitability.

Omar El Kheshen

Board Member

Omar El Kheshen is Founder and Managing Director of Bareeq Capital, an investment and development firm focused on infrastructure projects with measurable social and economic impact. He brings a strong combination of investment, strategic, and operational expertise across multiple sectors.

A defining pillar of his career is his focus on building scalable, impact-driven businesses. He serves on the boards of several pioneering companies across healthcare, education, renewable energy, security, and financial services throughout the EMEA region.

Earlier in his career, Eng. El Kheshen worked in management consulting with Kearney in Chicago, advising global organizations on strategy, performance improvement, and value creation.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
